Emergency Measures Operations (EMO)

State of Emergency examples may include, but are not limited to: tornados, plough winds, fire, flooding, hazmatt evacuation or anything that affects the safety of the Town of Carnduff and R.M. of Mount Pleasant No.2 citizens in our surrounding area.
In the event of an emergency, people should be aware of the following:
Gather all family members that are living in the effected dwelling and if in no imminent danger, remain in your home until further notice. (Please be patient and keep family together) You should receive notification on where to proceed in the event of an emergency when it is safe to do so.
Ambulance
The South East Health District Emergency Medical Services Division (EMS) provides or, the Carnduff Ambulance Service is a one unit service that provides Basic Life Support for the towns of Gainsborough, Carievale, Carnduff & the surrounding municipalities. The current ambulance was purchased by the supporting communities in 2001 & is operated by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. It is equipped with 2 stretchers & up to date equipment including Fleetnet radios, an Automatic External Defibrillator plus Monitor, & an electronic blood pressure machine.
Carnduff Ambulance is a full time service employing 3 full time EMT's who participate in ongoing education. The staff are integrated into Sunset Haven nursing home & work as Special Care Aides between ambulance calls. They average approximately 150 calls per year. Carnduff provides support to neighboring ambulance services of Oxbow & Redvers as needed.

Fire Protection Services
Fire and hazardous materials protection and relief is provided by the Town of Carnduff and the R.M. of Mount Pleasant #2 Fire Department. The fire hall is located at 216 South Grid in the Town Hall Building. In 2020 it consists of 23 members who meet weekly on Tuesday nights. The current Fire Chief is Clint Paton, and Deputy Fire Chief Neil Sorestad and Kris Carley. If you would be interested in becoming a member, please contact Fire Chief Clint at 306-482-7705.

Police
Carnduff Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is staffed with 5 full time Officers, 1 Public Servant, & 1 Victim Services workers. The Detachment is located at 205 - 1st Street East in the Town of Carnduff. If you have any questions please feel free to call 482-4400 or DIAL 911 in case of emergency.
