The Carnduff EMO did call in volunteers this afternoon to sandbag at a residence north of town. The location is now under control.
We are still asking the residents of Carnduff to conserve on water usage and to please ensure that sump pumps are being pumped to the street as the lift station is struggling to keep up.
The Town water well is still being manned to ensure that the running water does not breach it.
The Evacuation Centre will be open tonight until 10:00 p.m. and will be open again at 6:00 a.m. There will be meals available all day. If there are evacuees that are needing clothes, please visit the centre and get what you need.
All bridges except the Highway bridge on #18 in the R.M. of Mount Pleasant are back open. We do not have a report from Highways at this time as to the plan to repair that bridge.
People are asked to only travel to the neighbouring municipalities if they are going to assist. Please travel with caution and continue to avoid closed or barricaded roads.
