PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Our water treatment facility is experiencing high volumes of water usage.  In efforts to minimize the strain on the water treatment facility, the Town is kindly requesting ratepayer's cooperation to refrain from watering during daylight hours.

 

To maximize the watering potential when watering lawns, gardens and flowerbeds, please consider the following:

- try to coordinate watering schedules in the early hours of the evening or very early hours of the morning.  Avoid watering in the heat of the day to minimize water evaporation

- ensure watering does not reach driveways or streets

- use drip irrigation for trees and shrubs

- allow your grass to grow slightly taller to promote water retention in the soil

 

IF high water volumes continue, a MANDATORY water restriction WILL be implemented.
